  • Mini Dapps must actively block certain abusive or BOT behaviors.

  • If you do not have the minimum amount (0.1 KAIA) in the wallet address that provides user rewards, Mini Dapp will be automatically removed from the mission list.

    • Therefore, the minimum reward amount must be at least 0.1 KAIA.

  • Share relevant data and/or information regarding user engagement (retention, purchase of dapp items, etc.) after the rewards are distributed to users (KAIA tokens - User Reward Pool)

    • The purpose of this reward is to improve user engagement with Mini Dapp.

  • User reward pool is applicable to both LIFF / Web versions.

  • User reward pool must be used for user rewards only.

  • User reward pool must be paid out to 100% of users within 3 months of Mini Dapp launch.

    • Any remaining grants after 3 months will be forfeited.

    • Reward payment method: Direct distribution of rewards to the user's wallet by Mini Dapp.

    • To whom: Users who are eligible for rewards (excluding Mini Dapp operators and related parties)

  • Rewards must be distributed to at least 50,000 users.

  • The criteria and method of reward payment must be clearly explained to users, and the reward payment process must be fair.

  • LINE NEXT will conduct data verification of reward payments based on LINE ID or Wallet, and will monitor the account creation date, country, and activity of users who have received rewards.

    • If the policy is not followed during the verification process, the full amount shall be return to LINE NEXT.

  • Mini Dapps shall allocate the user reward pool received from LINE NEXT strictly in accordance with these Guidelines.

  • Mini Dapps shall directly control their end-user reward distribution policies, and LINE NEXT is not responsible for any conflicts, issues, or damages arising between Mini Dapps and users.

Anti-Abuse Policy

  • Mini Dapps are responsible for making judgments regarding abusive users and whether to distribute end-user rewards to them.

  • When LINE NEXT requests information related to “abuse”, it is Mini Dapp's responsibility to produce data to provide evidence of legitimate transactions, and for the avoidance of doubt, failure to comply with this section may result in penalties.

  • If abusing by the End User or Mini Dapp results in an unusual or suspicious receipt/distribution of user reward pool, they will be liable for the amount received or distributed.

  • For Mini Dapp that does not comply with the Guidelines, LINE NEXT Inc. may request the return of user reward pool in full.

  • After the user distribution is completed, data on the reward utilization information of the users will be requested and shall provide requested information.

Guide

  • Mini Dapp must check this guide and submit for the reward payout plan.

  • Kaia Foundation and LINE NEXT will review and approve the plan before disbursing the grant.

  • Guidelines for grant execution: There are three types of user rewards, which must be selected from the examples below.

    • If you want to run an event outside of the examples below, you must submit a review request through a separate person, and once reviewed and approved, you can proceed.

Mission-based Reward

Purpose and payout frequency

  • Keep missions simple and easy

    • Start with easy tasks that don’t require much effort so new users can quickly understand and feel comfortable using your Mini Dapp.

  • Give rewards instantly

    • Reward users as soon as they finish a task to keep them motivated and engaged.

Example

  • Game - Tutorial Completion Mission: Reward players for finishing the tutorial, helping them understand the game and get started.

  • Game - Level/Score Achievement Mission: Reward players for reaching a specific challenging level or score, encouraging skill improvement.

  • Game - Playtime-Based Reward: Reward players based on how long they play (e.g., 1 hour = reward), motivating consistent engagement.

  • Social - First Post Mission: Reward users for creating their first post in a social Dapp, encouraging participation and interaction.

In-app Challenge Reward

Purpose and payout frequency

  • Foster competition for engagement

    • Motivate users to compete in your Mini Dapp by introducing ranking systems where they can compare their performance with others. Use measurable criteria for fairness.

  • Offer tiered rewards

    • Structure rewards in levels so users stay interested and work harder to achieve higher ranks.

  • Frequent payouts

    • Ensure rewards for rankings are distributed promptly, at least every 10 days. Avoid payout cycles longer than 10 days, as monthly payouts are not allowed for NG eligibility. Quick rewards keep users motivated and engaged.

Example

  • Game - Playtime/Activity-Based Ranking Rewards: Track how much time users spend playing or how often they access Mini Dapp. Reward users differently based on their rank in these metrics.

  • Game - Points-Based Ranking Rewards: Use points earned from specific activities (like completing missions or sharing posts) to rank users and reward them differently based on their position.

  • Game - Mission Completion Ranking Rewards: Reward users based on how many missions they complete or how effectively they complete them within a specific timeframe, ranked by performance.

  • Social - Content Engagement Ranking Rewards: For social Dapps, rank posts by the number of likes or shares they receive and reward users based on their rank in this engagement metric.

Item purchase Reward

Purpose and payout frequency

  • Encourage purchases

    • Motivate users to buy Non-NFTs (items) or NFTs within Mini Dapp by highlighting their value or benefits.

  • Instant rewards for purchases

    • Reward users immediately after they complete a purchase to create a satisfying and engaging experience.

Best Guide

  • Implement a Points System

    • Design multiple missions within your Mini Dapp.

    • Users earn KAIA for completing each mission.

  • Set Claim Threshold

    • Allow users to claim rewards once they accumulate a specific amount of points (e.g., N Kaia).

  • Reward Distribution Options

    • Real-Time Airdrop: Instantly deliver rewards when users hit the claim button.

    • Scheduled Airdrop: Collect claims and distribute rewards at regular intervals.

  • Advantages

    • Improves User Retention: Users stay engaged as they work towards collecting enough points.

    • Customizable Mission Choices: Users can choose missions that match their preferences or interests, making the system more flexible and enjoyable.
